The best anime series out there. Seasons 1 thru 3 are pure comic perfection, but 4-5 seem a bit shitty, which is a REAL shame

This is the far the best anime ever. Ranma 1/2 is ssooo funny and the characters are perfect. They all have thier own unique personality which makes the show really enjoyable to watch. C'mon just look at anime pages from people they practically have their fav as ranma 1/2.

When I first watched this anime around a year ago, I thought that it was the greatest comedy anime I had ever seen. And after watching nearly 5 seasons worth of it, you know what? It still is the greatest comedy anime I have ever seen, although seasons 4 and 5 are nothing compared to the genius of the first 3 seasons.

The best anime out there!!! How could you NOT like this? The first two series totally kicked, but once Ukyo showed up it started to suck. =/ But once she faded into the background it was cool again. ^__^ Ranma and Akane 4ever!

I was suprised that the "brief nudity" tag had not been noted on this entry.

Needless to say, it is there.
It is a pity this will probably never be shown on TV in the west with the fact that we "can't" handle nakedness, coupled with the preconception that animated shows are primarily for kids.

Ranma is a classic in the form of animé. Rumiko Takahashi uses simple lines to convey even the subtlest of emotions... and then throws a bucket of water on the proceedings.

Though I am not a fan of comedy this is a series that I will willingly sit down and rewatch until I giggle mindlessly.

It's great, the very brief nudity isn't enough to frighten off anyone and it's more realiztic then them changing with clothes.
Sorry but a outfit jsut won't fit a Panda, pig, cat or duck.
The humor and subtle romance between Akane and Ranma is adorable.

Ranma 1/2 TV 1st Series
Ranma Soatome and his father Genma have fallen into the cursed springs of Jusenkyo while traveling through China. When splashed with cold water Ranma turns into a girl and Genma turns into a Panda. When doused with hot water they turn back to their normal selves. Ranma and Akane Tendo get engaged by their meddling parents. After a very rough start, they soon grow to care about each other.

One of the better seasons! Love the characters! This is one you have to see! ^__^
