Animation:
Perfect! Considering it was an anime made for TV, the animators truly did an excellent job making Outlaw Star more alive.

Plot:
The problem with reviewing shows with great plots is that the plots are often so great that you can't talk about them because you don't want to ruin them. So instead, I'll say this:
Outlaw Star is, in short, a sci-fi show that's almost epic in nature. By that, I mean to say that the characters and situations in this show truly do grow and develop and come together at the end... And it's one heck of a ride on the way, too. Do NOT miss this creative masterpiece.

Humor:
I think a lot of people found this show funnier than I did. While I can see where they're coming from in saying that Outlaw Star is hilarious, I can't give it a higher grade than I did in the humor department because when I think of Outlaw Star, humor is one of the last things that comes to my mind. I think of the great story and the wonderful characters first. Then, someone mentions how funny it was, and I try to remember what they're talking about... And even now, I'm drawing a blank. I can picture the storyline for several episodes (and it's been a few months), and I do remember that the show made me laugh, but as it stands, I can't think of many lines that really blew me away and made me say, "Now THAT'S a good one!"

Soundtrack:
Decent. Every single actual song in this show is absolutely wonderful, but for the most part, the background music can't live up.
And although I realize it's been a few months, I do know what I'm saying on this one: Music is often my favorite part of anything, whether it's a movie, an anime, or a video game, and if I don't like it, I remember.

Overall:
I think this review has sounded more negative than it should have.
Truthfully, I love this show and it's definitely somewhere in my top 10...
All I'm saying is that it's not because of the humor, but because of great characters that develop and a great story that grows and changes.
For any sci-fi fan and most anime fans, I highly recommend Outlaw Star.

Good anime, although sometimes a bit boring. Plot was good though and had lots of interesting characters. Really enjoyed it.

Outlaw Star
Outlaw star is truely a good anime. The animation is fantastic. The character interaction is what makes this show so lovable. There's really never a dull moment in this show. I didn't find much humor in this show, but I did laugh at least 5 or 6 times. The soundtrack was good, though the ending songs didn't really go with the anime. I found myself putting this anime in my top 10 favorites. This is definitly one to see.

AMAZING series. my new favorite. although the characters seem a bit cliched for the first few episodes, delving deeper into the series (ep 15 esp!!) shows Gene's deep character development. awesome art, and a great story and concept. dont be suprised if this one beats out evangelion in your mind too!!!!
