Wow. Well corrected, wide field with just a hint of lateral color (green). A recommended eyepiece for anyone, especially for the comfort (20mm ER). The adjustable eye guide did help with kidneybeaning, but was a bit clumsy IMO. Sold it when I bought my SCT because my skies will hardly ever support 280X.

A very nice scope. I sold it when I got my SCT, since my wife has a one scope rule. But I still sometimes miss it for it's simplicity and quicker cool down. Gave very nice views.

I lucked into a FMC Denk used on Ebay, and I am very impressed with the fit an finish. The only potential gripe is the weight, it's much heavier than the homemade Nikon I had before. But that comes with being built solidly, I guess. Very satisfied. You can't go wrong.

The GPS is dead accurate, the object is always in the FOV of the included 30mm plossl. I'm no optical expert, but the fresnel rings when defocussed are concentric and round, and look equal on both sides of focus. But at high powers (185+)I'm not seeing tight stars. But that could very well be the NJ skies. Overall, I'm very happy!
