DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
The Dew Buster is very state of art with unique features not found in similar products. The best thing about it is the "automatic mode". A real battery saver! You can find no better controller at this point in time,at any price.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
Excellent upgrade from a Kendrick controller. My 12" SCT stays dew-free all night taking my mind off dew! Each unit is hand-built by Ron himself and he is more than helpful and courteous to deal with. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who would like to lengthen their observing time!

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
I wanted a dew system that I could control
and I found one! Ron customer support was
and still is great. Will come back and
rate again after I spend more time with
it, but for the first time I didn't need
to borrow the hair dryer!!

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
I originally bought a Kendrick system, but will not keep it. This Dew Buster works better because it keeps your scope a set temperature above the ambient air temp, thereby keeping dew off of you lens. the BEST thing about it is that it uses far less power than the kendrick dew remover. i use a portable battery with a guage that indicates the state of the charge. After two 4 hour long sessions of powering my Dew Buster and my LX200GPS with the battery, I still had a full charge and did not have to recharge the battery. With my Kendrick dew remover, however I had to rechage the battery after one 4 hour viewing session. I will continue to use the battery until it indicates a recharge is needed, but so far the Dew Buster is draining far less power than the kendrick. So if power consumption is an issue for you, go with the Dew Buster rather than a kendrick system. Oh, does anyone want to buy a kendrick dew controller? I only used it twice!

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
Brilliant! Just got my DewBuster and made up a full set of heaters as detailed on Ron's website. (The heaters turned out very well and cost very little to completely fit the scope out, saving well over $150 in the process) I let the scope dew up completely then turned on the DewBuster, leaving the finderscope unheated for comparison. The dew disappeared from all the heated lenses in a very short while, then I plugged in the temperature sensor and left the setting on 5 for the rest of the test. No dew anywhere except on my unheated finderscope. This is easily the best accessory I've invested in for my scope. A must have for SCT owners.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
It get's very wet, not just foggy, but wet, here in British Columbia. I was out for over 3 hours with this unit - totally clear viewing. Without it I might have gotten 20 minutes in. It is fanastic. I had a heater strip on the front of the scope, the finder scope and they eye piece. The temperature sensor kept the unit pulsing the right about of power to heater strips to keep things clear, without burning up my battery unit ( xPower 300 ) .

I wouldn't sell my unit for twice what I paid for it. I'll get at least x5 - x10 more good viewing time in now.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
Great product, No more heat currents from the corrector, when the temp. continues to drop all night. This product allows the amount of heat going to the corrector to be reduced according to a user set ratio with the falling temp.
Uses less power, with no fear of over heating the scope's optical surfaces. Truly a "smart" machine!

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
I had chronic problems with dew on the corrector plate of my Schmidt-Newtonian. So I purchased a Kendrick controller and dew-heater strips for the OTA and eyepiece. This set up kept the dew away, but my 19Ah battery was half-drained at the end of the evening just from powering the Kendrick controller at its minimum setting. Then I heard about the Dewbuster and ordered it immediately. I hooked up my Dewbuster using the same Kendrick dew-heater strips for my OTA and eyepiece, as well as a homemade heater for my eyepiece box that I built from 10 330-ohm resistors per Ron's instructions. With the Dewbuster running I had no dew form on the corrector plate, even though the outside of the telescope tube was dripping wet by the end of the evening. When I shut down for the night my 19Ah battery was still almost completely charged! The Dewbuster is a somewhat pricey but very worthwhile upgrade for those who want to get optimum performance from their dew heaters.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
I love this thing. With the 2 temp probe controlled plugs and the 6 aux plugs there is plenty of options. I recently ran the scope and 2 heaters on a wet night off a 7 amp 12v for 6 hours and still had enough power left to jump the car. (left the music on to long). If you are thinking of buying one do it. You will not be disapointed.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
I had a Kendrick controller, worked well but caused interference with my SBIG AO-7 system. I upgraded (this is the good word for it) to the Dewbuster controller: works fine and no more interference whatsoever on the CCD, webcam or AO-7 systems I use. Needs a good battery or a powerfull mains-12V DC transformer. Excellent support and feedback.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
I have been using the DewBuster for several months now and I can say that this one excellent product. My optics have not seen one bit of dew despite some nights with very high humidity. And it does not interfere with my CCD equipment as did my Kendrick's so for that reason alone it well worth the money!

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
Though many SCT owners complain about cooldown time, my scope often cools too much even before I complete my drift alignments. I need heat immediately to avoid dew. Yes my planet views have improved dramatically, but I'm mostly a deep-sky imager. Surprisingly the controlled heat from the DewBuster has all but eliminated my focus drift problems during long exposures. I think the scope was being overheated until I added the DewBuster, driving the optics slightly out of focus over the course of an hour or two. My 17 amp-hour battery survives dusk-to-dawn now without changeout. Thanks, Ron.

Great product. Kept the dew away on a terrible night, and I still had plenty of battery power left, when others were drained on their Kendicks.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
The dewbuster is a great product. It is one of the very best things I have bought for my 10" LX200GPS. The best thing is you set it with the turn of a knob and just forget getting dew!! This is a must for all SCT scopes with dew problems. Over one year and and still very happy, money well spent.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
I was looking for a dew prevention system. Traditional setups pulled enough amps to heat-soak tubes, stress batteries and slow bake treated glass optics. I paired the new Dew Buster Controller with 2 new low-amp Dew-Not Heaters and gave a whole new life to my little 7 amp battery. After 6 hours use, I estimate 43% remaining charge. The scope, chair and gear get dew soaked but the optics remain bone dry: at ambient! If you don't have a Dew Buster, how are you drying your expensive equipment?

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
I was from the 17th of december until 7th of January 2005 in my Observatory and the equipment

http://www.fotos-del-desierto.com/astro/Obser07.jpg

and used for the first time your Dewbuster controller together with the
Dew-Not Straps from John Marstiller. First Night I did not use them and
sooner than later the dew caps from my 2 Takahashi's where full of dew. I
was confident that in the semidesert in central Mexico the humidity was not
high and I would have no problems, but as said before suddenly the dew was
there. So I quickly installed the 2 dew straps on my FS 78 as well as on the
TOA 130 and put full power on it and not later than 10-15 minutes both dew
caps where free of dew and then I turned it down to the setting 5 and kept
it all the time like that and no more dew appeared.

2 great products working together and since then I switched it on every
night when I started my equipment and no problem. It worked and worked and
worked.

If anybody asks I can fully recommend your dewbuster and the dew-not straps.

regards Rainer from Mexico
