DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
Superb controller! *Quality* construction, and easy to use. Reliable mechanical dial & led's to show you when you're heating.

(I tried a Kendrick Digifire-7... but it arrived DOA. It was fortunate for me, as the Kendrick's box was cheap, screwed-together aluminum.. the controls were the thin-film stick-on stuff like low-end calculators use. I sent it back to the store and ordered the DewBuster).

One of my better choices. :)

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
Excellent! Small, but *well* built; great ergonomics; mechanical temp dial (i.e. reliable!); LED's to let you know when strips are heating or battery is low; outside air temp sensor; and connections for 8 heaters.

The first dew controller I ordered was a Kendrick Digifire-7. It arrived DOA, and I sent it back. Turned out great for me, because although it looked good on their website, the Kendrick was just a flimsy aluminum box, with thin-film pressure buttons for control.

The DewBuster is in a completely different class. Easy to use... I've had it out in heavy dew (Oregon) and it runs my 11", 5" and two 2" strips superbly. Can't say enough. It's saved me some great viewing nights.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
I have run with a home made dew controller for some time - the strips are home-made too (resistors in parallel). All I had to so was put a phono connction to the end & plug them in!
The controller has extended the battery life quite considerably and I just love those "flashy light" things. The main scope (LX200 GPS 10") & the guide scope (Megrez 80mm) have both been "zapped" with this controller. Don't think I have had any dew at all! Also, excellent service as I am based in the UK & it's difficult to get a good support from the States these days... Ron was informative & helpful, as well as ON TIME.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
I recently ordered a Dew Buster dew heater controller from Ron Keating via the Internet. He notified me that the controller had been shipped the next day. Somehow, the controller got "lost" in the mail. Considering the mess Louisiana was in after Katrina, it's no wonder. When I called Ron to check on the status of the delivery, he checked the Post Office and they couldn't locate the controller. Instead of me having to wait until they found the controller, Ron sent me another unit immediately. Along with the second controller, he sent me a check to cover return postage should the first controller show up. In addition to that, he also included an extra temperature sensor at no charge for my inconvience. Not only is the Dew Buster an outstanding performer, Ron is a super guy to deal with. Anyone in need of a high quality dew heater controller that is interested in "after the sale" support can not go wrong by purchasing one of Ron Keating's Dew Busters. I am VERY pleased with Ron's product and his genuine concern for his customers.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
This is an outstanding piece of equipment, one of those rare gems in your set of astronomical equipment which you are always glad you have, which you know will work for you every time without question. In the dewiest of nights the DewBuster will keep you dew free all night until the morning comes, with a minimum of battery drain. I love my DewBuster and am always showing it off at star parties. To top it all off, the support from Ron is immediate, personal and far above what is typically received these days. Great job Ron.

Exactly as claimed - this unit keeps the corrector plate clear with only as much energy usage as is necessary. Easy to install and operate. Plenty of room for additional dew heaters. Excellent tech support. I highly recommend the Dew Buster.

DewBuster Automatic Dew-Heater Controller
Very nice dew preventive machine, the optics on my telescope (14") stays clear all night. I use it to warm my hand box, piggybacked scope and both of the telescopes' eyepieces.The sensors to keep the telescope temperature just above the air temperature is absolutely remarkable! I love this system. Thanks for creating this work of art!- Michael

I think it's a well made product. I also have to rate the response time and care that was given to me by Ron Keating. He was extremely helpful in sorting out questions I had and made suggestions about an upgrade that would give me more options and protections than the original unit I had. I also ordered a missing part which was sent quickly to me. I am very pleased with his product and his service.

Very well made product - it's sturdy. It's stingy with battery power and gets the job done. It's easy to use.

The price is a little higher than some competitors, but when you factor in the quality of construction and the effectiveness of the design, it's a bargain.

I talked with Ron before ordering mine and found he was a personable guy, who was happy to customize my controller to best meet my needs.
