From a technical standpoint, this is a masterpiece. The animators were beyond anal. Story wise pretty lightweight and enjoyable.

Beyond basing an anime on the single most uninteresting component of the Japanese police force -- female traffic cops -- this isn't bad at all. The look and feel are cute and friendly, a departure from the violence and darkness that inhabit most anime involving police (for evidence, watch The AD. Police Files). Predictable but charming in its own way.

Although the animation in YUA is about as technically perfect as one can get short of filming live-action, I was even more amazed at the attention the producers paid to depicting the mechanical sound effects accurately, e.g., the sounds of the doors and rear liftgate on Miyuki's patrol car opening and closing; the transmission whine heard in the cabin of the Lancia Delta; the clicking of the gearshift lever and parking brake. It was almost as if the sound engineers rode in various vehicles and recorded sound samples for use in the OVA.

You're Under Arrest is a refreshing change from the mecha-intensive tentacle porn, cyber stories, and 'teenage male virgin meets voluptous alien women' plots that pour into the United States in droves. Well drawn, sweet, light-hearted fun and action! I can't get enough of this show.

This is just a really sweet cute story. It made my teeth hurt when I watched several episodes back to back, but it got my girlfriend hooked into anime and that was worth it. Don't get me wrong, I really like this anime. It's beautiful to watch and has some great dialogue. It's just really really cute. I liked Oh my goddess better because of It's change of mood and I think that this anime could have used that. Overall, it has simply gorgous animation and is fun to watch. I highly recommend it.

Who didn't see things taking place just as they did? This is predictable. It's cute and charming in a way, but the story is so absolutely typical that it gets dull quickly. I suppose lovers Ah! My Goddess will enjoy this, but I didn't like AMG either. I fail to see why either one has achieved such popularity. The art is really nice, though. I'll grant it that.

This is another cute, light, and very enjoyable series. The thing that I found to be excellent about this series is the animation and the highly detailed artwork. It's truly remarkable. The story itself is fairly simple, but I won't hold that against it :)
