Armitage III: Poly-Matrix

Excellent animation and character design, and it certainly does its job of keeping you interested and entertained.

Only drawback is that there's no subtitled version available, which is odd for a Pioneer release. Nevertheless, the dub is pretty good, featuring the work of Keifer Sutherland and Elizabeth Berkley, that chick from Showgirls.

Same as of OAV but has the ending slightly changed.
In the OAV she died and give off and offspring a child that look just
like her. Ok let me get this straight, both the movie and OAV
are the exact same shit.
Just think how much you spend buying OAV, then only to find out
that movie was just a collection of it all put in one tape!
DAMN.

Above-average sci-fi anime,
the plot is quite complex but not all
that original, the art is cool but
was bugged down by choppy animationstyle.

I found the voice acting paled in the face compared to the OAV. The movie cuts 45min of valuable plot and alters the ending. The OAV ending makes more sense and is far cooler. Keifer Sutherland added absolutely zero to the voice of Ross Sylabus. His flat emotionless delivery was as bad as reading it directly from the paper with no rehearsal.

If you want Armitage, spend a bit more and get the OAV. You'll be happier in the end.

I haven't seen the OAV, but Polymatrix was excellent. Fantastic animation, good voice acting, nice looking characters, and a great storyline that has something for everybody. My favorite anime movie.

Okay I really tried to like this. The story wasn't that developed but I heard that 45 minutes was taken out of the OAVs but even if that was still there I really didn't care for the plot. Though this does have very good animation and art. That was probably the best part. And theres only english and it sucks because of elizabeth berkley.

Im being generous because of great art and animation. But i saw this on dvd and there was only enlish available the dubbing was horrible. The story line was a boring line just about this 3rd who wanted to know why she was created woohoo lot of fun there. I never saw the oavs and probably dont plan to because of such boring story and i heard that it cut out 45 minutes and added very few new scenes. This probably would have been better if it were subbed. This falls very short of trying to be a Ghost In the Shell.

Armitage III: Poly-Matrix
This movie was an all around good rental. Excellent animation, sound all wrapped up in a very interesting story. The characters are quite likeable and well developed. I personally enjoyed the emotions that I received from this movie. Personally I thought it was very inspiring in a "never give up" sorta "fight for what you believe in" kinda way.

All in all i'd say its a great rental for a friday and maybe even prom night if you can't get a date.
