Dragonball Z: Dead Zone
and FINALLY...im rating DEADZONE (because i was the first to rate these movies) DEADZONE is short and sweet..literally sweet. Gohan gets kidnapped, and GOKU is pissed. Some of the enemies in the movie are a bit funny. The animation quality is on par with the other 2 movies, above the tv series and always THE COOLEST!! Another simple plot, BUT WHO CARES, ITS DRAGONBALL Z.......and theres never a dull moment...so buy it or tape it or whatever, but be sure not to miss it. ANY FAN COULDNT MISS THIS.

I'd seen the subtitled version, and found it to be quite dull, but I recently saw the dubbed version when it aired on Cartoon Network and all I can say is - "What the hell?"

Peter Kelamis' Gokou is awful. As far as dub voices go, Ian Corlett, the actor who portrayed Gokou through most of the dubbed version of the Saiya-jin saga, did a much better job, although I didn't really realise it until I heard Kelamis.

Also, whoever did Kame Sennin in the dub, even though he is only onscreen for a very short time, needs shot.

Worst of all about the dubbed version, however, is those goddamn sound effects!
Someone at Funimation apparently saw it fit to add Scooby-Doo style sound effects all over the place...it was frightening.

As for the movie itself, it's quite short, and while the fight scenes are nice, there's been better ones in the show. The story is pretty weak, too.

I think that it should be like fixed up alittle bit with some of the animation when the dead people come up but aother than that it was pretty cool. I give it two thumbs up. I give a special award two the tight phight seens that was koo when gohan was like screamin then the mother fucker was all stuck in that never ending prison. I think that it is however not better than the classic dragonball it had alot better

this was an awesome movie...for one thing you get to see Chichi can fight even tho she got her but kicked but none the less..also it's the only movie that actually TAKES place in the Anime storyline....
