I'm in heaven!!.. I though the OVA waas the best. Now that the movie came out. I mind is changed. Thank god. Thank Belldandy!! she's truly cute!!

it had good animation and a good story line.the characters were cool my favorite is urd. urd made the anime funny so did skuld. belldandy made it kind of sappy. other wise that it was good

the animation show was very touching. yes, very good story line. yes, they had good people in there. yes, i mosty like went the sister eating alot of ice cream in got a stomach ache in was reading all night long just to figure out how to make the morticycle. YES, when Belldandy haved to go back were she came from cause the god order her to go back in she in her lover was so in touch they lover each other so badly that the god let them stay in love in earth. how he treated her cause he saw her sister in feel in love whit her then when he saw her he feel in love whit belldandy. it the same thing i just wrote.

Pretty, decent plot, okay characters. What happened to Skuld? She was so cool in the OVA, but had hardly any personality in the movie. On the other hand, Urd was much improved. She actually showed she had a brain in her skull, and turned out to be quite an intelligent and powerful person! The movie was interesting, but the romance of Belldandy and Keichii made me feel very cynical. I assume the vast majority of people will be inspired, though. Ah! My goddess the Movie
A great movie overall. The plot was complex and intelligent, the animation was impressive, the character designs were done very well, and the villian, Celestine, was very complex and human (though perhaps that's not the best way to put it. ;p).

Having watched and enjoyed the OAV series, I watched the AMG movie initially expecting something similar to more of the same. I was, however pleasantly surprised with the more mature tone and serious manner of the movie. I actually had to watch the movie twice to understand everything, as the plot is rather complicated at times. Celestine's reasons for his conflict against heaven make him a morally ambiguous character, and the interplay of characters create a complex and varied story.

Ah! My goddess the Movie
A movie made for the fans. The premise and characters are flung into the movie with little characterization and explanation with the full assumption that the viewer is familiar to the plot.

Side characters from the Original Graphic Novel are present, and seem to inhabit the space merely to please the fans. While many of this type of film exists, only a bare few are palatable. This is one of the rare ones. Even with a limited knowledge of the preceeding events, the movie stands well on its own.

It is a love story.While saccharine and sickly sweet, the film itself is serious and faithful to its original premise of a love story. This premise is possibly the most difficult to swallow of the package. Once accepted, however, the movie follows quite smoothly.

Suprising quality in the sound track, possibly the most richly scored pop anime film. No surprise, as the composer for the film is Nobuo Uematsu, esteemed veteran of the Final Fantasy Video Game series. His skills are impeccable here, as the score gently moves from light strings to a copland-esque intense brass filled charge.

The escape of other pop anime films into cheap, easily produced electonic and pop band fare is made apparant in the quality of the score. One could easily imagine several scenes with a keyboard and guitar substituted, and the greatly diminished quality and gravity of the film.

The music is what gives this film its class, and if scored poorly, the movie could have headed straight for the B-Movie pile.

Ah! My goddess the Movie
Two and a half years have passed since Belldandy came into Keiichi's life. Everyone's been living happily on earth, and Keiichi couldn't ask for anything more. But Belldandy's former mentor, Celestin, has suddenly appeared... and he wants to take Belldandy with him in order to form a new world. Celestin seals away Belldandy's memories of Keiichi, and now nothing can hold Bel back from following him. With Urd and Skuld's help, Keiichi must do everything he can to stop Celestin, or forever lose Belldandy as well as the world he lives in(Synopsis taken from Animetric.com). This movie is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. My eyes were like magnets to the screen. The animation was simply breathtaking. Every single detail looks like it was taken into the upmost consideration. The motion, backrounds, everything is just so amazingly beautiful. The plot is very mind-boggling, I was amazed. The humor is sweet, it mixes in perfectly with everything going on around. But I found this to be more dramatic and romantic than funny. The soundtrack is just as astonishing as the movie itself. It fits perfectly with the movie. All in all this movie is a definit must see, I recemend Ah My Goddess The Movie to everyone.

i watched it 4 times in the first 3 days i owned it. And each one of my friends wants to sit down and watch it from time to time when they vist.

its one of my all times favorites in anime aswell as movies.
