Disregard any posts from service# 161.233.64.233
This person continually posts good reviews on the Panasonic DVD A110 and bad reviews on the Sony DVP S7000. It is obvious that this person has a hidden agenda or personal motives.

Panasonic DVD-A110
Beware: A person keeps reposting reviews on the Panasonic DVD A110 and Sony DVP S7000
His/her original server was: # 161.233.64.233
and now it is : 161.233.64.111

This person for some reason wishes to continually compare these 2 units. He is either obsessive compulsive or a cheesy salesperson.

I can't remember the last time I was so happy with a purchase. It only weighs 7 pounds but is made well. I love having DTS capability since my receiver can accept a DTS decoder. I ordered 13 DVD titles before the player arrived and must say I haven't seen any artifacts or experienced any glitches after viewing 9 of them. It's great.

Panasonic DVD-A110
I waited nearly two years for a company to release a player that was capable of playing back all the mainstream surround formats, produce high quality video and audio playback as well as a compliment of standard features at an affordable price. The Panasonic DVD-A110 was billed as such a player. After six weeks and over a dozen DVD's, the A110 has lived up to and beyond my expectations.

I have not experienced any glitches or incompatibilities. No pixilation, no audio pops -just high quality audio and video. Now, about that crummy remote...

It may not be the best DVD player avilable in absolute terms but, is untouchable in it's price range.

Highly recomended!

Wonderful cheap player. Got a friend to get mine from Shop4.Com and then send to the UK. In total it came to £194!!! That's £300 less than it's equivalent in the UK. My only gripe is that no-one has managed to get a cheap CodeFree mod out of it yet but that's only a minor point. The picture and sound quality are great, much better than my old system of plugging my CL Encore into my Widescreen TV!! :) You would be hard pushed to find a better DVD solution and if you're in the UK and have a multistandard TV get one... You wont regret it.

The only thing I think I would have liked on this unit would be component video outputs. It's performance is top notch in all aspects. The $25 rebate from Panasonic is a nice perk as well. The component thing won't count against it simply because of the price of this little gem. Cheers.

I was a LD fan and when DVD first came out I wasn't real impressed - color patches from MPEG compression, jagged edges and tough time keeping up with real fast action. Then I got the A110 - picture is AWESOME! I am only using Prologic now - looking at separates, but taking my time to get the right combo so I cannot vote on the audio to much. I am using composite RCA video with low end Monster cable and it is great! And S-video will look better - WOW! DTS out and great price - just buy it! Only negative so far is sensitive remote - not wide angle of reception.

I think this unit at ~$360 mail order has the most bang for the buck. The sound and video on it looks every bit as good as my cousin's ~$700 top-of-the-line Sony.

Just got it a couple of days ago and I love it. I have no other player to reference but from what I see I can't imagine any better. Would have gotten a 10 but it can't play cd-r discs (I like to make copies). CD sound is outstanding.

Panasonic DVD-A110
I got the A110 the week it was released (a steal from One Call) and have played two dozen+ DVDs on it with perfect results. I like to *really* test out a unit before commenting and I can truly say that the bottom line is: get a good deal on a great unit like this and spend your saved money on DVD titles.

Panasonic DVD-A110
A little bit of a learning curve involved on using the menu
to see/set different settings, but hookup was a snap and both
video and sound performance blow me away. Don't know how this
model's performance compares to others, and really don't care,
as it does all I could wish for and at a very modest cost!

Panasonic DVD-A110
I purchased the A-110 for only $339 at Fry's Electronics (they matched the price on an internet special) and I am extremely impressed with the unit. I am giving the player a "10" rating despite its' mediocre remote due to the fact that it is perfect in relation to the competition in the $400 price range. The picture and sound quality are excellent. It's hard to say whether DTS will catch-on, but just in case it does, I want to have the DTS-ready capability that the A-110 has, but most other players have not. You could spend more, but why?

Cool DVD Player, got it for $299 shipped. The Video is great and so is the Sound by the design kinda sucks, and if you look very well you will notice that this Player is the same as the Yamaha, RCA, and Denon DVD Players. They all get their design from Matsushita (Panasonic, Technics, etc...)

AUDIO/VIDEO QUALITY WAS EXCELLENT. THE REMOTE IS A LITTLE TOO QUIRKY TO RECEIVE
A 10. OTHER THAN THAT IT IS A 10 IN EVERY WAY, ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE IT IS
AVAILABLE AT.
