The whole story line itself was overall very depressing however it was a completely new concept (at the time). This is why I enjoyed the movie. I have a copy of it at home and love to come home to a bag of popcorn and this extremely good movie. Well... the artwork I give a 9.5 out of 10 and the story gets a 12 out of ten. There were no flaws. The only downside was the fact that this was a peice of realism and thus it was very depressing. Very kewl... keep it up.

A very good sci-fi with, IMHO, an ending which in retrospect gives it a very Ursula LeGuin/Phillip K. Dick feel (especially when the mysterious woman turns out to be an alien observer).

My friend thinks this film was adopted from an old sci-fi novel. Good stuff in any case.

The animation was excellent with a great story line. The story kinda really makes you think about what would happen if a certain wind did wipe out mankind's memories though I'd hate to be one of those unfortunate enough to lose their memories. The story is kind of a new start for mankind, where all their petty differences like nationalities, prejudices, and all the discriminations were eliminated. With all those things out of the way, we can truly know what drives our heart.

A leisurely paced, thought provoking film that examines the idea of humanity's
potential in a state of nature. The animation is nice, especially the backgrounds;
I found myself entranced by the beautiful skyscapes. I never though I'd see a
quiet, contemplative, road movie, but if there is such a thing than this is it.

One of the absolutly worst anime films I have ever seen, doing only what countless other anime titles and manga series have already done agian and agian. I gave my copy away.

While the animation was good, and the dubbing well done, it's the story that really shines on this one. A different twist on the apocolypse we've all seen before. The ending was a little rushed and a little strange, but over all I like this anime. I'd reccommend it for those looking for a good story and some good art.

Quite intriguing movie with some fluent animations. As it dissects the human instinct in a concise manner, we come to realize there are many aspects of human qualities with exception of any biased perspective. Thought-provoking plot with incredible philosophical take on human nature. The ending was a bit too fast and the colour of the film was too drab and depressing. An anime that derserves a category of its own; I did not see any of them this insightful for a long time.

This is one of the most thought-provoking anime videos that i have seen, ever, period. It is more than a small feat when anime waxes philosophical, and loses very little in the English translation. Absolutely loved it.

This film, I'm sure, took time an effort. The story line is quite impressing and artwork is amazing. I too was somewhat disappointed at the ending as well, but then again I enjoy those types of movies.

I don't know why everone said this had a bad ending. It wasn't like one man was going to save the whole world. It was just a story in time that didn't really need a spectacular ending at all.
