Excellent story line, beautifully presented characters and lots of general coolness combined with great animation make this one of the best titles I have seen in a long, long time. Highly recommended for everyone.

Nothing short of the perfect film. It has the perfect mix of action, comedy, and adventure. The music is inspiring, the art is amazing, and the charactors are endearing. Laputa passes the all important test; it makes you forget you are watching an anime and pulls you into it's world.

The music is the best part. And it's cool when Sheeta uses her jewel to do stuff. The personalities of Sheeta and Patsu are well developed and the land of Laputa holds a well crafted mysterious air.

Wow... that's all I can say. After seing the OAV series and the first movie, I didn't think it could get any better. Well, I guess I was wrong. ^_^ The story, graphics, music and character developments were all great... Mayuka and Yuzuha are two great new additions to the cast. My only complaint was that the producers didn't do more with those two, especially Yuzuha... she had such a definite personality that I wished they had fleshed it out a little more. This movie itself would have made a great OAV series, doncha think? ^_^ Still, I give it a 10 for overall excellence (my favorite animated movie ever! ^_^). Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go watch it again...

Certainly the best animated 'movie' i've seen..Incredible mix of action, romance, and humour. Miyazaki has never disappointed me....I think this is the best of all of his animations. It shows his message of the overwhelming human greed VS pure love and innocence in a entertaining way. It is certainly a film that anyone must watch in their lifetime or they'll regret it.

WOW. this is very very very good! Nothing has come close SO FAR to compell me this much!! The emotions, the action are all there and with some pretty deep concepts about human nature, while having Tons and tons of simple concepts to easily understand and enjoy.
