Millenium Actress

This movie is done by the same director that created Perfect Blue. If you liked the way Perfect Blue is presented with story not being in chronological order, then this one is defenitly worth the buy. If you were totally frustrated by Perfect Blue, this one will be no different.

Animation - 10 - The best part of the anime in my opinion. This anime presented crisp and clear colors. Everything flowed nicely and never distracted from the telling of the story.

Plot - 7 - I found the plot of this anime frustrating. It switches between imagination and reality and the love intrest inbetween... While it all came together at the end, it was difficult to tell just what was going on in some instances. I found myself grabbing the remote and rewinding just to make sure I got it. Just like Perfect Blue, it likes to jump around.

Humor - 6- Another down point of this anime. While the movie was meant to be a drama, the humorous scenes in there just didn't seem to work well. My friend who I was watching with said the funny parts were a nice touch to the anime, but I was not quite as impressed as she was.

Soundtrack - 8 - Good music for the movie. Nothing really special, but not distracting either, it went well with the movie.

Overall - 8- Definitly worth the rent, but I am not srambling looking for the DVD either.
