Hainbane Renmei

Haibane Renmei is all about one thing: character development, and it does very very well at it.

Animation - 10 - Absolutley beautiful anime to watch visually. CG and drawing mix very very well in its post-modern/old english setting and it made it very easy to watch.

Plot - 8- A good plot with awesome character development, characters I actually cared about. However, the story of their surroundings is left purposly vauge and I really wanted more background, however, this would have become too slow of an anime for most if they did that.

Humor - 7 - This is a drama afterall, but it did provide several funny times in the series, especially when Rakka is first born and her halo causes her hair to frizzle. She finds this out because the bakery her friend works at let them use it to "create" bagels. Anyway, some funny points, but it is a drama afterall.

Sound Track - 10 - Great opening/closing songs. Sing this is only 13 episodes, those carry much more weigh, but the meat of the sandwich is very strong too. I look forward to purchasing the soundtrack.

Overall - 9 - Close to being perfect, still wonderful to watch - recomended.
