The english version was a bit confusing. It seemed to be missing something, like several needed plot points.

Animation makes it look promising. I'm a big fan of mecha designed by Shoji Kawamori (Macross) and Masami Obari (Bubblegum Crisis). Problem's that the story lacks character development and needs more action.

I liked it. I mean, the animation is somebody's style and it's pretty cool. I like the characters and the ending was kinda different from other shows. ENwayz, that's all, so see ya later.

I'm kinda partial to this series considering that it was the first true anime video I had ever watched. It's true that the first volum isn't all that great but it really does get good by the third volume. The subtitled version is alot better. The ending was a lot more original than the concept. I took one look at the new release of Dangaio, and almost freaked!! The new one put out sucks really, really badly (the Chinese dubbed is especially terrible!!), but the original three subtitled videos kick ass: the animation isn't all that good since it IS an older anime OAV, and it's understandable. Even then, it's not half bad. Also, I have all the soundtracks (more than two were put out) including the image ablum and sound calendar: the music is REALLY great!! C'ya!

Personally, I like Dangaioh, but I am a fan of Hirano, so . . . What I don't appreciate, however, are some people with foul mouths and no manners. Maybe you think it's hip to use profanity and cut someone else down. Get a clue. It isn't. Keep your vulgarity to yourself.

i gave ten because dangaioh psychic wave evangelion's ass up and down left right back foward and any day of the week and twice on sunday, buddy and if you look at the art work it is much better than most mecha. and thats no lie. i recomeand renting it trust me you will like it.

Hmm... this musta been one of the first anime I ever saw, back in 93,. I must say for animation without computer graphics assistance, it was good, though the character design wasn't the most in deph and original. But the mech design was decent, but nothing when matched with those of Macross plus. I'd still watch it though, for old time sake.

THIS IS ONE OF THE COOLEST ANIMES I HAVE EVER SEEN. I LOVE IT. WHEN I FIRST STARTED COPYING ANIME TAPES FOR MY OWN COLLECTION I PUT A PRIORITY ON THAT SERIES. GREAT ACTION. LOVE THE ANIMATION. OVERALL ONE OF THE TOP ANIME OAVS I HAVE EVER SEEN

I really liked this anime. I don't know if I saw the new one or the old one (Probably the old one, given that everybody says the new one sucks) but I definitely liked it. The animation, no matter what any idiot says, was really well done, the moves for all the robots looked cool, and the mech designs kicked ass. Are they better than Macross? As a fan of both series, I really would have to say that they are better than the Valkyries, but maybe not the Destroid Monster and Excalibur. I mean think about it, the Valkyrie is really just a souped up F-14 (Don't get me wrong, they are still some of the coolest mecha ever designed). Anyway, people need to stop pounding Dangaio. OK, so there could have been more character development on some people, but when it comes right down to it, this one was great.
