If you look really close, you can almost find a plot...

I wouldn't exactly consider this "hentai"... but still, it's only for
ADULT audiences. There was quite a bit of sexual content in
Wicked City. Not only was there nudity and sex, but there was
rape.. and we can live without that. It is totally innappropriate. I
wouldn't barely consider this R material.. it's more along the lines of
NC-17. There were numerous graphic sex scenes, and it seems that
this what the movie revolved around. What little plot there was,
involved some cops from earth and other dimensions trying to keep
and old man safe so he could sign a treaty, but that never happened.
It was lost in the sex and violence. This is NOT for children, or
teens, or anyone really. This is to be a warning for all anime fans,
pass this one up.

This is one of my favorite all time japanamations. It blends
horror with sex. The monsters were spawned from a vivid imagination
like the spiderwoman that can castrate you after you've just had sex
with her with VERY SHARP TEETH!Sex violence horror it's all here.
I couldn't comprehend the ending though.

The action in the movie was good but, i could care less for the characters.
If it wasn't for the twisted sex scenes i would of fallen asleep.

Classic "dirty old man " (jusepia mayarte) , good voice for taki . Animation made the eyes bulge and an ever-confusing story that still dazzles when an avid viewer watches for the ump-teenth time. The end left more possiblities than the opening did. (Duh??) creative use of a crucifix ! (if you've seen it , you know.) Interesting Gin / Makea scene . makes one wonder, what's next????? entirely amusing , fun to watch and thoroughly entertaining. FUN MOVIE !!!

This was pretty bad. The sex scene at the begginning was erotic if you like that sort of thing. There are many perverted old men in anime but they're not supposed to actually get laid.

I liked the story, and Taki and Makie are cool. I was glad there was a happy ending, and the plot is good, with a few surprises. The animation is not top of the line. Definitely worth watching.

The first anime of it's kind in the genre of adult (not hentai) anime. Not since Golgo 13 or Space Cobra, has there been one of this quality. The animation is imaginative. The pace, though slow by average anime standard, was well directed to bring a clear sense of mystery and primal erotic shock. The voice acting is superb. It included the voice of Cherry from Urusei Yatsura as the old perverted man. Wicked City was one of the first anime to introduce good quality realistic characters in anime. And that style has endured to Demon City, Midnight Eye Goku, Cyber City Oedo and the unequalled Ninja Scrolls. It's hard to imagine it's director and character designer, Kawajiri, went on to direct projects like the remake of Jungle Taitei (Jungle Emporer aka Kimba the White Lion, the model copied for Disney's "The Lion King".)

There was never an intense or exiting moment at all in this movie.( Except for the beginning scene) I expected alot more out of this. I was so dissapointed with this peice of junk i wanted to smash it in to little peices. the sex scenes were disgusting especially when they were raping that women. The story is fine but they need to find a way to make it more exciting and enjoyable to watch. Why so many sex scenes. How can anyone possibly pay attention to the plot and story when they have a hard on through the whole film. If your sick and horny, this is the film for you. Buy it, treasure it, love it forever.

I would've given wicked city a 10 but i didn't want to sound fanatical, it's my favorite movie i've been combing the web all week for a good sight. not bad if you're wondering.Loved makeai and Taki, but the horny old man appeared as a role model to me! Interesting enough to warrant at least one view from anyone who can tolerate the sex and violence. I'm not usually a fan of those things, but I found the human-demon hybrid plot fascinating in its own right. The ending, too, was good.

This movie sucked! The story was Horrible and confusing. MY 5 year old cousin could have drawn better animation. And not enough action! And since I'm 11. I didn't really liked the adult scenes.
