Can we say "Bubblegum Crisis?" This anime is not bad at all in its own right, but it obviously borrowed heavily from BGC, AD Police Files, and others like them. I enjoy Armitage III, but it's not as unique as it could have been.

Armitage III OVA
Well above average. Not in the same class as Ghost or Akira, but well above most of what is out there. The story goes along well, if some what straight forward, and doesn't have too many major flaws. The music is excellent, and is well arranged; no fast, happy songs while they show you a graveyard (you KNOW which titles I mean). Some of the questions remain unanswered, and Armitage seems a little schizophrenic, but definately worth watching.

It was nice and above average, but not spectacular.

As for 'happy graveyard music...' There is a literary technique called juxtaposition. Ever heard of it? Show a smiling child playing in a sandbox for a moment, then show a bloodied killer stalking her the next. It's a use of contrast. I thought that scene was more effective that way.

LORD ZORK KICKS ASS!!! Duuuh. He is my favorite character EVER, not just in anime!! I loved it when he killed Armitage, and ate her brains, with crackerz and milk!! KICK ASX!! I hate how Melvin the Muffhead killed him at the end *sniff sniff* I almost thought this sucked just because of that YEAH YOU SUCk MELVIN!!! AAAAAAHHH!!! SUCK MY THUMB MELVIN!! Or should I say, "Melvin, the Sucky One?" Heh heh heh.>:) Yeah, lick it up, Melvin. Lick it up! Ross Sylabus should beat you with a bat!! Why the HELL did Armitage have a TALKING CAR?!? Huuuh???

pretty good, but as with many sci-fi
anime, it´s too much like Blade-runner,
the premise is admittedly getting a bit old.
The animation is good....but I hate
the choppy charachter movements that seems so
prevelant in Pioneer productions....(like Hakkenden)
-overall, a rather good story with some pretty visuals,
but I wouldn´t call it an all-time classis.

Armitage III OVA
Not to shabby, one of the earlier series I saw. It followed on the heals of BGC, Macross Plus, Maddox-01, and Vampire Hunter D. Enjoyable and fun... I found the ending very disturbing.

The End Battle was cool, it had some real film talent there.

Far better than the movie, which IMO just suck ass.

My favourite movie is aritage the the third.Because its one of those futuristic crtoons where there are cyborgs who look like humans but are called thirds.And theres this guy starts a gang that go's around killing them.Theres about 4 sexual scenes in it and the guy is a third to just like armitage a police cop with a attitude and very hot.Both of them turn out to be related and very strong and powerful.Later on there fighting in the sewers and the guys in this big machine and grabs armitige.Armitige trows her left hook at the guy falling down a waterfall.Then they drive out to this old shak where they were created and fix the guys brain up.Then they show them the fourth,a normal human clone.But then the the millitary comes and destroys the building.Armitige later has sex and starts a new life.

The overall feel and style of the this series is much more complete and informative then the movie version. The story arc is expensive and the rudementary references to gothic litature is excellents.
