Without doubt, one of the best DVD players on the market. Superb video and audio! I've tried the latest Toshiba and Sony models and I was impressed but the Denon 'moved' me up to the next level. I found the picture to be more natural than the above 2 players! The audio is great no matter what is being played! From movies to CD's, I was equally impressed.

The picture is beautiful and the player can handle all of todays sound formats, including DTS.

This player has the same video section as the Panasonic A310 but that is where the similarity ends. The remote is not as good, being that of the A110 but I would have to rate it higher than the A310 being that the audio portion of the player is much improved for CD and DVD playback.

Gosh!!!This is the best thing that has happen to me since I bought Pioneer S350 running with my Yamaha 2090 five years ago. Everything seems to be alive!Audio,visual,,everything.The mindless part is that it's cheap!!!Very cheap compare with other models and even better performance.Throw away you old cd player cause this has no problem of overcoming that and with Super Audio CD,you'll be breathless!!!!!

What a GREAT player. I have a Denon CD Player as well as a Denon MD Player. The Denon DVD-3000 just reinforrced my loyalty to its name becaused its quality. The Video is superb even played on a widescreen projection TV. Simply Awesome.

Excellent Player! Anyone comparing the Denon to the Panasonic should reference the remarks in Stereophile's Guide to Home Theater's Products of the Year Winners. This player received second place to a much more expensive Pioneer Elite model. I agree with the editor's remarks that while it may be built on the same foundation, the means have come to a better end through Denon's excellent build. I heartily recommend anyone in the DVD market to check this unit out.

Everything about this player is top quality.
The rumors that this palyer is the same thing as Panasonic's is wrong.
A lot of Panasonic's parts were used but Denon has built in their
own audio circuitry that only Denon can do perfect for the price.

I own a Toshiba SD-2107 and a Denon DVD-3000. The Denon has a slightly better picture. It does not pass blacker than black which my old Toshiba did. It also
has the LAYER SWITCH PROBLEM that has plagued the Panasonic 110 & 310 models. (The Denon is based on the Pan 310) I have tried a few dual layer DVD's so far... Pleasantville, Lost In Space and some others. They all skipped ahead one chapter at the layer switch. I was watching Pleasantville tonight and luckily I caught the layer switch because I would have missed a lot of the movie.
I am pretty ticked off since I paid a good amount of money for a "premium" player. Hopefully Denon will take care of it for me. (I would gladly accept a DVD-5000 as a replacement.... haha) I have heard of Panasonic not cooperating with owners of the 110 & 310's. Hopefully since Denon is more of a high end company they will help me out. (Hopefully this is not wishful thinking) So I won't give a rating for now since I am waiting to see what happens.

I think it`s really a "Best Buy" for this money. Not only a perfect DVD-player, but not poor for CDs. My old Marantz CD-48 sounds quite good for me, but Denon DVD-3000 is a little touch of higher class. Compare it with CD-players below $450, and you`ll find I`m right.

P.S. In Moscow, Russia, Denon DVD-3000 costs $380 in authorized dealer`s shop !!! Maybe you`ll find it strange, but the reason is regional code. DVD-3000 is for 1st zone (NTSC), but former Soviet Union is 5th (PAL).

I had a comment earlier. I have attempted to contact Denon on the layer switch problems. They acknowledged that the problem exists but they swear that it is the fault of the software authors. If it was a software problem it wouldn't ONLY affect the Panasonic 110/310 models (including Denon and Yamaha models which are based on the 310). They have not helped me out at all. Yes the picture is great, but if I have to watch a movie all the while keeping an eye out for the layer switch so that I don't miss out too much, can be annoying. For such a big premium over the Pan A-310 (on which this unit is based on)I should get service. Especially since Panasonic owners are getting firmware upgrades to correct the problem. The first person I talked to was pretty rude. This is the guy who said that all DVD players have problems with poorly authored layer switches. As soon as I told him that my Toshiba Sd-2107 and my friends Sony 7000 have no problem with the layer switch he became even ruder. He referred me to the head of the DVD division. I haven't been able to get him to return my call. I have been too nice on the phone. Time to get irate.

I just bought the Denon DVD 3000 and it is just awesome!!!. The sound leaps at you and the video is perfect. I could not have made a better choice. I was really hoping Yamaha would have something in its class since my AV amplifier is a Yamaha. But alas nothing Ive heard compares to this.

Just got a demo piece and the picture on it rocks! Best of the bunch so far for me and the component output is like cherry on a sundae :)
