Tenchi Muyou: The Movie
I found this to be a very good movie, the animation is very well done then characters are defined, and though with its mostly serious nature there was still time to put some comedy here and there. The story line is the only thing that i can see needing some improvement, being short and not really "full" or rather it seemed rushed and hurried. thought it was still able to hold my attention and even though the movie is about two hours long the action scenes made it only seem like an one hour movie, leaving me content and pleased with the way it played out.

I saw the movie on the Sci-Fi channel but I didn't understand it because I never saw the series. Anyway it's pretty cool.

I love this movie so much I could cry. It has hilarious comedy and excellent character designs, and the battle scene at the end was top-notch. When introducing someone to anime, use this movie.

This is a great movie, with a great plot, great animation, great evertything including the coolest cast of characters to be found anywhere. However, be sure your familiar with the series to get the most out of it!

The Tenchi OAV's are with out a doubt, my favorite anime. Having that said, I was kind of skeptical about watching the TM movie, since it was based off the TV series. Boy did I eat crow. This one of the most emotional movies I have ever seen (that includes live action flicks as well). I enjoyed the fact that the viewer got to take a look at the romance between Techi's mom and his dad (before he became the pervert), it was a nice look at what made Techi who he is. The animation in it was some of the best that I have ever seen. The dubbing of English voices was perfect (off course, they were the same voices from the OAV's and TV series). The last five or ten minutes of the movie really touched me and my friends. That right there makes it unique since I have never felt sad after watching any movie, and boy did I ever feel sad after watching this one. If I could give this highter then a 10 I would (10000000000000000).

I don't think this movie was really great because the plot seemed a little too simple. I have only seen the first few episodes of the tv show so maybe i have to watch the series first before i like this movie.

Tenchi Muyou: The Movie
This movie is very cool. I am usually more into cyberpunk action and supernatural mindbenders but I enjoy Tenchi the Movie very much. It is the only Tenchi I have seen and the fact that it is more serious probably enhanced my enjoyment of it. (Silly anime wears me down very quickly.) The animation is hypnotic, there is almost perpetual motion with very few talking head or panning still-shot scenes. Washu's lab is awesome. Ryoko is awesome. I don't know how anyone could not be impressed by the beginning and the final battle. Check it out.

Hahaha, I basically spoiled everyone here.

Because if you didnt know ya probably think this is the best.
BUT BUT back to the future came out in 85!
And this junk came out in 97???
