Please, spare my life and don't let me prattle too long about this TOTALLY HOT
series. It doesn't bother me at all that it only has a limited number of episodes, as long as I can relive them, I can die happy. What I really want to know is why there are no guys as cute as Hotohori and Tasuki and Chichiri and Tamahome and....awwwh, damn, there are no guys who can ever take your place. Jeez, HOTOHORI!!!!AISHITERU!!! There! I said it, whew. (Grinning maliciously)
I guess I like this series because I got so many comments at school that I look and can talk just like Miaka. ( Mind you, I am an excellent cook, so that's a difference. Oh well, I guess this is SAYONARA, but I would rather say, JAA MATA!

The animation is beautiful, but there's not a lot of development when it comes to anybody besides the mani characters. Thats one of the main weaknesses of this show. Also the two main characters get on my DAMN nerves. What is this Sailor Moon? Everybody in love with the main character?

It is THE BEST show based the THE BEST manga series ever. Faithfully adapted, beautiful character designs, a wonderful story, and long enough for wonderful character development. THE BEST!

Fushigi Yuugi, while not being as well known as Evangelion, still knocks Eva into a cocked hat in terms of likeability. FY starts out funny and gets serious relatively fast--it's very serious almost before you know it. Great for mecha-heads or advancing anime fans to adapt to shoujo-style animem with. If you don't laugh at all during the first 12 episodes, you are either dead from the neck up or a censor
Okay first of all Fushigi Yuugi is the best Anime series I've ever seen and you totally get in to it and you just can't stop watching it once you start. Filled with tons of Hot guy characters (Tasuki ~_-) I can't seem to wait for the episodes to get subtitled and you just can't seem to come back to reality right away. I laughed I cried I lived along with the characters hey I just say it kicks ass!!!Really, REALLY good. My little sister usually hates my anime but she's actually hooked on the show. It has everything, action, romance, a good plot. I especially liked the seishi from Genbu and hope one day they make a prequel to the series. By the way, if you don't understand Japanese of can't get the laserdiscs, get the fansubs from Tomadachi anime. They are the BEST and the quality of their fansubs, especially Fushigi Yuugi, is amazing. To all out there considering purchasing this anime, whether boy or girl, I can pretty much guarantee you'll like it; SO BUY IT NOW or I will LEKKA SHIEN YOU!! While the series does not carry as much symbolism as Evangelion, it is the most enjoyable anime to watch.

This is my favorite series. It was sad, happy, funny, and too cute. It had a great storyline, especially between Miaka and Tamahome. It made me laugh and cry at the same time. Most of all, it reinforced my belief that love can conquer all.

All thumbs up ! Truly a fantastic piece of Japanese animation with beautiful graphics. The characters are well imploded to make this series a success. Parts of the show are funny. A collection not to be missed. Another collection on par with slam dunk.

The animation is ok. The story is great. The characters are cute. Hilarious, although some scenes made me cry. When you watch it, you feel the story...I don't know how else to put it. One of the best I've ever seen (manga is better though), and highly recommended.

Very nice plot - great, actually.
I just LOVE the way the tension escalates towards the end of the series.
The character development is also very good.
Comedy, romance, friendship, drama, lotsa action!
Sigh... what more can an anime ask for?

I like it but nothing is compared to ranma 1/2. It was a good one (Fushigi Yuugi). It was my second favorite of all. It was an original cartoon. The artist itself has a good imagination. I like the story,...it was an interesting story. I never heard of such kind. I was so excited to watch it & I enjoy watching it.

Fushigi Yuugi is the best anime I've ever seen. The story line is creative and it's one of the best there is. This anime has all sorts of scenes; some are hilarious and others make you cry. All the characters are wonderful, especially Nuriko. (I'm just obsessed with Nuriko! ^_^)
