This anime has possessed me :) It seriously can touch me so deeply. It makes me cry and sob, it also makes me laugh. And somehow it makes me pity every character and care for them in some way.

Great anime! one of my fav. I just wish they toned down the "Tamahome..."-"Miaka..."-"Tamahome..."-blah blah. I like romance like the next guy but common :P

This is probably the best development of plot I've seen among animes. Hands-down, a 10 there. It also boasts a group of interesting characters. Kinda reminds me of Sailor Moon in terms of structure, but much better and well-organized.

The two main seiyuus -- Touma Yumi (Yui) and Araki Kae (Miaka) -- did okay. Midorikawa Hikaru (Tamahome) did a great job, and Koyasu Takehito (Hotohori) was terrific. OP and ED were nice, but the background music was not that impressive.

I only watched the show in Pioneer's subtitled version halfway through, but I read the spoilers and I _love_ the way it ends. Contains a lot of neat stuff from psychology and ancient Asian philosophy.

Okay, peeps, let's be realistic here: FY is NOT the most mind blowing anime you'll ever see. No, wait, an squishy little adolescent gets sucked through a magical book and through her resulting and totally *uncontrived* misadventures she learns the meaning of love, life, and how to clean the oven without getting high? Astounding. However, plot be forgiven, there is always the characterization...and what characterization 'tis. While Miaka seems permanently stuck in the simpering brat phase, it's quite amazing to see what directions the other characters take through development; Hotohori, Suboshi, Chichiri, and Nuriko in particular suddenly made sense as people and not just happy--albiet extremely attractive--scribbles on the storyboard. It's this quality which constantly sends me back to the local video store in frothing search of more tapes--well, that and all that loveandfriendshipsticky stuff. ^__~

Konban'wa minna-chan. First of all. This anime is a classic. The animation is absolutely beautiful. The music is kick-ass too. =) Okay. The plot is cute and plausible. Sort of. LOL. But the best thing about this are the characters themselves. They all have their own stories and feelings and dreams. And some of them are so heartbreaking. That's what makes this beautiful. The characterization. And of course. The romance, fighting, adventure, and comedy.

i think that fushigi yugi is the best anime show
because the action,the comedy(and miaka ^_^)
But I only saw 4 episodes. 23,24,25 and 26. because I got
the video for christmas.(SHIT!ITS NOT ON TV!)

this is the BEST anime EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you don't think so , you MUST be brain dead. for all you ladies out there who think the suzaku seven are yummy and scrum-diddly-ummious, you've got mighty fine taste!!!!! personally, i myself am a TASUKI fan(don't you just love those cute little fangs?!?) but hell, they all goodlooken!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WAI!!! Fushigi Yuugi has a great plot, unlike some who have NONE, great character studies, you think that all the seishi are real by the end of the 2 ovas, it's funny, romantic, and *blush blush* has the hotest bishounen in the world. WAI!!! IT's FILLED WITH GUYS!!!
