Probably THE best anime title to make it over to the states. Unsurpassed animation and storyline. This is as good as it gets folks. Check it out if you haven't yet.

I wouldn't say THE best, if only because the ending, OAVs, and movie are weirder than Tim Leary on one of his off days. It also gets VERY depressing halfway through the series. Overhyped, but still has that ol' Gainax magic. Mecha-heads miss at your own peril, everyone else just enjoy the ride and don't ask questions at the end unless you wish your head to explode. Really.

This is the best anime I've ever seen in my entire lifetime. It's just utterly perfect, not even a tiny conceivable flaw to it, absolutely perfect. I saay this beccause the mecha design, fights between the EVAS and the Angels and the twisting turning looping conspiratorial story, especially considering Rei and the Human Instrumentality project are absolutely marvelous. But it isn't just the story, mecha, and fight seen that really grab you, it's the absolutely wrenching characters. The emotions, feelings and interactions with eachother of the characters is the best there is. The realization of the characters and there thoughts and feelings toward eachother and about the world are the most realistic I've ever seen, flawlessly mimicking the way real live human beings live and think and interact with eachother and the world around them, millions times better than anything ever portrayed in a live-action movie. Just so stupendous. The way the who;e package is put together is just mind-boggling. Sky-highly recommended to anyone even remotely into anime. Do yourself a favor and pick up this flawless series, you will not regret it. Once you see it once you'll be hooked for life and lovein' it to death and then you'll thank that guy on the internet who told you to buy it. Perfect!

Absolutely amazing anime. I've seen a lot and this is near the
top! The animation, art work and music is excellent. The mecha
designs are truly original. I just can't believe how good this
is.

Absolutly the best japanese series to air. It has an incredible story line that keeps you waiting to see the next episode, unique characters with detailed personalities, beautiful and meaningful music, and exceptional animation and mecca designs. I definetly recomend this series to anyone that likes a good story. A++++

This has got to be the best anime series out there. It has an awesome plot, great artists, and increadible music. The characters are well developed and quite intriging. If you want to get someone hooked on anime, this is the series to show them!

I LOVE "NEON GENESIS EVANGELION"!!!! The animations is about a 8 until the EVA's bust out and the animation steps up. Great well developed characters, a little sad but the overall story is probably the best yet! Two words "REI AYANAMI"

No other anime will get you so emotionally tied as Neon Genesis Evangelion. Great storyline, animation, and characters make this the best one out there. A great feature of this is the hidden bible references that make it interesting and very cool. This, without a doubt, is the best anime to date.

The first episodes was ok, but as this anime progresses it gets way better. It has a great story and great mecha designs. It has some funny parts and seems a bit mysterious. Characters are well developed and ending scenes on Neon Genesis tape 9 was great. It was dramatic and left me in a shock for a while. I still can't get over it!

This is undoubtably the best new series to come to English Subtitles to date. It contains Awesome Action and impressive Mecha designs. But unlike other Robot shows, this is secondary to the storyline. Evangelion has heart wrenching tales of children who are neglected by parents,the subsequent consequences it has upon the children's lives and thier inner battles to get over the grief. It contains the question "are humans really perfect". Though angst ridden as it is, it does spend lots of money on its animation and it also contains very well timed humor to occasionally lift the depression. It also has a blossoming story of a very cute young couple, Shinji and Asuka. wathc episode 9 and you will see that they are the CUTEST anime couple and they are PERFECT for each other.
