Ghost in the Shell
Like AKIRA, the anime version of GitS is very different from the manga. However, Shirow managed to pull off a very well-made movie. The only real problems I had with it were Mamoru Oshii's deviation from Shirow's original artwork, especially in the case of Major Kusanagi. Also, I felt the voice-acting, with a few exceptions, was rather bland and robotic. The animation, however, was stunning, and the story held the thought-provoking quality it posessed in the manga. A well-done anime, definitely worth seeing.

It was such an in-depth movie, that challenged the most intellegent minds to figure out double meanings, sub-plots...hell, even the main plot! A great movie! 46 thumbs up!

Hey This anime is worthy of kicking Sailor Moon's ass!!! The action and how Ghost in the Sheel can relete to human life is the icing on the gate or a roundhouse in the head.

This movie was awesome!!!!! Although it was only 82 minutes (a tad short) it was still some of the best anime I've seen. The plot is awesome (puppet master)!!!! The characters are awesome!!!! Just love this movie!!!! I also read somewhere that the movie "requires an intelligence level above the average American."

Este anime es genial. Desde los creditos del principio maneja calidad y solidez. Definitamente deben verlo pues creo que el tema que cuenta es digno de nuestra atension.

Yo entendi poco, pues la vi muy rapido y solo una vez. Pero siento que en el futuro se abre la posibilidad de conocer aun mas al ser humano atraves de estos entes cyborgs y androides. La idea del Ghost es genial. Si se igualan los cyborgs y androides con los humanos... ¿Encontraremos la diferencia fundamental que demuestre la existencia del alma? ¿Se podra medir el alma? Entonces llegariamos a tratar al alma y conciencia humana de forma cientifica, porque si no podemos medir, no podemos tener ciencia.

My all time favorite. Story and theme meets character and unbeleivable animation quality. Akira is comparable in its spectacular visuals but I have never seen any other feature that is close to GITS in overall effect.

The all-time best.

This movie was pretty boring. The first time I watched it I fell asleep. The second time I vowed to stay awake. It's okay at first but at the end it just gets so painstakingly boring and I don't get the ending. There wasn't any really good music either.

One of the best animes I've ever seen. Excellent animations, good story and an outstanding soundtrack. Even if the original manga is much better than the anime, the anime "Ghost in the Shell" is an important milestone.
