It looked good from the preview, but the storyline sucked raw donkeys in hell. Really turned me off to anime that came from video games.

I´m one of the greatest admirors of Samurai Shodown the videogame. But this movie was a very bad tranlation to the anime. The artwork is poor, so the animation, and the storie is the typical cliche of the team of superheroes (a formula that found success in the US before the 80´s with the comic books, but that is no longer atractive).

Let me first state that I am one of the biggest Samurai Shodown fans ever. However, I bought this movie used for $10 just to have it and I don't think it's not even worth that much. It's utterly mediocre in all senses. If you can, rent it to satiate your curiosity but don't dare waste your money buying it new. Hopefully the new 2-volume OAV will be better... ~ kingly_one@hotmail.com
