Welcome to the next Akira, the next Serial Experiments Lain............here is Furi Kuri!! Furi Kuri strapped me to a roller coaster, slamed me against the wall, and when it was all over it left me saying "What the heck just happened?"

FLCL is a six episode OVA that is as fast paced as it gets. This easily could have been put into 26 episodes if they wanted to take their time, but it is all crammed into 6, that's the head rush. On top of that, everything is made to look surreal, which left me dazed and confused.

Animation - Great Animation. Most of it is hand drawn, with a little CGI mixed in to give it that surreal effect. It mixes together really well. This is also one of those anime's where you have to watch every little thing, because everything means something. There is also a unique live action still shoot for the ending song which I really liked.

Plot - To be honest this is the only anime where I could not find its clear and intended plot. I am not sure if this is intended in the anime, or if the directors actually don't know what they are doing.

Humor - Some very funny parts here. There is even a little south park animation in here as well as the anime being done in a manga style, which is also very amusing.

Sound Track - If you like rock, then this thing is right up your alley. I think 17 different guitars are in this anime. The ending song is totally cool and highly recomended.

Overall this is one interesting anime and definitly not meant for everyone. However, I would highly recomend this for anyone who wants a really different and alternative anime to watch.
