This particular mecha has a system that allows it to link to a pilot when the pilot reaches a certain level near or below unconsciousness; as in, when the pilot dies or almost dies, it goes into hyperdrive and turns into a monstrosity that is armed with a microneutron bomb. But I guess that's too much information...
