I wish I found this site before ordering. These people are the biggest crooks I have ever dealt with!!!! DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!!!!!! I ordered my PV-DV 601 Panasonic digital camcorder from them 1,5 weeks before leaving for vacation. I payed extra to have 2-3 day delivery. After a week I tried to contact them for HOURS!!! Whoever picked up the phone said: "One second..." and those were the famous last words. They put me on hold and I was disconnected after a few minutes. That happenned over and over again. In the evening I finally "caught" somebody just to hear that he cannot access the warehouse's computer 'till next morning. So I called back the next day and I heard from him that my camcorder was never shipped!!!! I was promised the next day delivery via air "on the house". It never came!!!! After a numerous tries I got the same person who switched me to the owner of the company, Mr. Levy (at least I was told he was the owner), and I learned that it was never shipped again!!!!!!!!!!! After yealling and screaming at him for good 5 mins, promising legal actions and proper "advertising" of his company all over the Internet, etc. he promised to ship it overnight again. I received my merchandise the next morning (I was leaving for my time off that night!) but my extended warranty was not included and I received a wrong extra battery!!!! I packed everything and shipped it back to them. They promised the refund of my money to my credit card in 7-10 days. It was OVER 3 (THREE) MONTHS AGO AND I STILL DON'T HAVE THE MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!! I got my American Express involved in collecting the money now. I am going to report them to the Attorney General Office and personally sue them if neccessery. and fill out the form. If they get a lot of complaints they will put them out of bussiness.
All together I went thru emotional HELL because of them. I made about 80 calls trying to reach them and almost lost my job because of the state of emotions I was in during that time. I promised that crook - Mr. Levy a special "advertising" on the Internet and I am going to keep my word, so you might see this text on other sites, too. STAY AWAY FROM "CAMERA SOUND", for your own good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a digital camera from PrimeDV on 8/19/01. They confirmed the order via e-mail.It is now 8/29/01. I have, as yet, not received the camera. Their website is inaccessable, supposedly due to technical problems. I have tried to reach them via their 800 number. It just keeps ringing. I tried to reach them viaphone number listed on this website for Camera Sound of PA, it's busy. I have replied to their confirmation e-mail and am waiting to see if that brings a reply. I have made internet purchases in the past and all went well. This experience, however, is making me reconsider ever making another internet purchase. After reading all the other comments about this company, I am fearful of being had. I will, however, also lodge a complaint if this is not resolved.

June 7th our production company shipped a Sony TRV8 camcorder to Camera Sound as per our service agreement for repair. Two and a half months later and countless phone calls, unreturned voicemails, put offs, man hours and frustration, WE STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN OUR CAMCORDER BACK! Now I can't even get thru to them on their phone system. God forbid you should ever be in the film business and ACTUALLY NEED YOUR CAMCORDER FOR PRODUCTION! One time I was told their repair technician was out for the week and to call back next week. My experience has shown that behind their thin veil of salesmanship they have invested ABSOLUTELY NO resources, time or money into customer service support.

They are most crooked retailer on line that I have encountered by far.They have so many fake company names, it is a wonder they have a credit card company that will let them operate. I did not receive all the products ordered nor did I receive the registration and warranty papers with the camcorder. I paid for 3 day delivery and it took 10 days. I will be filing a back charge through my credit card company and hopefully they will soon be out of business.

I charged me for an extra battery without my confirmation.
And I did not get my camera.

I definitly do not recommend anyone to buy from Camera & Sound or Primedv.com which their fake online company...

I echo all of the complaints that have already been posted. These folks do not deliver on their promises. I ordered a digital camera over two weeks ago. When I called to determine why I had not received it, it took three phone calls to get any sort of an answer, which was that it had not been shipped yet. These folks should be put out of business. I'm amazed they are still around since they are clearly committing consumer fraud.

never received my miniDV tapes I ordered with my camera. Also, they try to sell off brand, b-stock accessories. They are completely unresponsive after many attempts - so I contacted the attorney general to make a consumer complaint.

WHAT A RIP OFF ! I ORDERED A DIGITAL CAMERA, WHICH WAS NOT ONLY ON THEIR WEB SITE AS IN STOCK BUT I WAS TOLD BY A SALESMAN THAT IT WAS IN STOCK. AFTER A WEEK I ATTEMPTED TO OBTAIN TRACKING INFO. ON MY ORDER. I WAS SHUFFLED AROUND TO A MINIMUM OF 10 PEOPLE OVER THE COURSE OF 25 PHONE CALLS AND FINALLY WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE OUT OF STOCK BUT FOR JUST A BIT MORE MONEY THEY COULD SELL ME ADIFFERENT MODEL.
ONLY LATER WHILE SEARCHING FOR MORE INFO DID I SEE THAT SEVERAL OTHERS WERE VICTIM OF THE SAME GAME BY THIS SO CALLED COMPANY.
