This tv is (or atleast was) Hitachi's Flagship model. The picture and quality overall is outstanding. The price point you can't find a better value even all the way up to the Mitshubshi Platinum series (diamond is the low end line, no matter what BEST BUY tells you also). This tv is made for years to come. The only negative comment I have is that it's very non-tolerant to electro magnetic fields (speakers too close) You have to have large speaker spaced about 4' from the tv on either side. This means that your total area is about 12' wide needed for a TV or more!!!!
