I've had this projection TV for over three years and I'm about to upgrade to a 73 inch diamond (top of the line). This kind of an upgrade is the only way I will part with my 60703.

i bought this unit in december of 98 and am very happy with the picture qaulity. I don't see a reason why I should go for HDTV as it's almost as good. The only reason that makes me think about HDTV is the new 16:9 aspect ration. No problems with an average use of 6 hours or more. Video Essentials DVD could do magic in improving the quality of this TV.

I bought this TV in Dec. of 98 and it has been amazing since the day I bought it. I have not have one problem with it and the colors/brightness seem to be as good as the day I bought it. This is after a minimum of 4 hours a day, for close to 1000 days now. At the time I bought it, I could find no other TV close to it in picture quality in something this size. I paid $2999 way back in 98 and I would easily pay the same today for it. I have never had anyone that seen it have one negative comment on any part of it, well other than the usual "That is a HUGE TV" when they walk in the door.

Compared this unit side by side with a SONY and actually thought this TV had a brighter picture. Have been using for about 8 months, and am very happy with it.

I was originally set to buy the Sony XBR 53" RPTV. After looking at the two sets and comparing the price difference (over $1000) I decided to go with the Mitsubishi.

I've had it for about a month now. I think it is a fantastic RPTV. Colors are beautiful, blacks looks great as well. When I first set it up I was a little worried by the way the picture looked but after I calibrated the TV using the video essentials DVD the picture really shined. Looking at the picture while watching a DVD using the component outputs, all I can say is the picture truly is stunning.

I agree with some of the people who say that Sony's XBR may have a better picture, and if you put the two TV's side by side you might be able to see a difference. But the picture is good enough of this RPTV that you will never think you are missing out on anything once you get it home

Image is really bright and lively. I compared this to the Sony XBR and you can't beat this for the price and size difference. Also I compared units that have been used for a while and the Sony picture gets dull and lifeless over time. Quite a disapointment from Sony...
