This TV is d'kine! I just connected my new Toshiba 5109 to it, and I have to say, it ROCKS! Beautiful picture, and now I can sit much closer! This TV is spectatular. My wife "HATES" big screens, she says they always look blurry. Well, she's so on board with this 61H95, that I can't get her to watch her stuff on the old 27" hahahah!!!

Looks great to me. I got it with a scrach on the back for 2,000.00 with a 5 year in house service plan. Don't get it for the sound, but with a good external sound system it kicks. I would buy it again in a minute.

Fantastic value! Sit 15 feet away, and using the component video input and a good DVD player, and you can't see any hint of scan lines. Ready for the future with a DTV 1080i interface, and will accept 480p progressive scan DVD input(assuming those players ever get out of macro vision copy guard hell!)
I looked at every RPTV I could get my hands on including the new Runco unit and the Sony XBR200 line.

Worked great with Video Essentials creating a great blacker than black and perfect tint and color adjustments on the SMPTE color bar patterns.

If you have a smaller, direct view set, you will want to keep it handy. The line doubling feature in this unit will make your cable look awful. Even some DirectTV channels look bad. I had an ISF tech. calibrate the unit. He told me that with cable and even DirectTV due to their MPEG 1 compression are noisey signals. The line doubler amplifies the noise, to make the pix look awful in some cases. NOt at fault of the set, it's just amplifying nasty cable signals.

My only wish is that the unit had more than one memory setting for video settings(color, tint, sharpness, etc) Since there is a marked difference in video quality between the component, s-video, and RF inputs.

highly recommended at any price, and since it comes in at $3300, it's an amazing value. Part of this is due to the fact that there are no attempts to integrate any type of Dolby surround with multiple internal amps and speakers to drive the price up(like the Sony XBR200). Toshiba seems to understand that anyone who is going to purchase an HDTV ready line-doubler set already has the audio for surround sound taken care of. You are truly paying for a pristine video picture here and nothing else.
