Antares Ultima 15mm
I agree. This is a good quality, 5-element plossl made in Japan. Virtually identical to the Celestron and Orion versions.

Antares Ultima 15mm
Although I have little to compare it too, I get good eye relief and FOV with a good image.

Antares Ultima 15mm
Found this to be a great value. I have only a 20mm Celestron Plossal to compare against, but it does so favorably. I do not have any problems with the eye relief, though I do not wear glasses. The whole field of view is very clear and the stars stand out much more so than my Celestron Plossal. It also Barlowed very nicely. I was able to view the Ring Nebula, and M13 among others on my first night out with my 8" F6 Dobs using this eyepiece.

Antares Ultima 15mm
Very sharp, contrasty views in my XT8...barlows quite well with the Celestron Ultima. Nice, solid feel, and the FOV is adequate. Great EP.

Antares Ultima 15mm
Superb eyepiece! Very, very sharp (both in the middle and edges of the FOV). Excellent contrast. I found it to be almost perfect for viewing globular clusters with a 10" f4.5 reflector. However, wanting a bit more field of view, I traded it in on a Televue Panoptic 15mm (which is almost as sharp). Yes, I got the extra FOV, but I do miss the Antares! Note: the eye relief is a tad short (as it is with the Panoptic); this didn't bother me, but it might be a problem for some observers. Bonus: the Antares Ultima line is parfocal with Celestron Ultima eyepieces (I assume that they are both made by the same Japanese optical company).
