Subject: The last place to buy anime. By: Rose Date: 08/30/2004 07:59:48 pm PST This place is good to shop form if, you can't find what you are looking for. Because the price are too high. But all so the shipping is high too. So in short try some where else first. Subject: BAD By: Anonymous (xxx.xxx.61.131) Date: 09/30/2004 01:19:59 pm PST DO NOT ORDER FROM ANIMENATION. I live in Canada & I ordered DVD's from Animenation which got seized at customs. They do not take any responsibility for not knowing the custom laws of other countries and do not offer to pay for UPS to ship them back so you can get your money back. So, to get them sent back you have to have the parcel bonded so you end up paying over $50 in shipping to get nothing. I talked to 2 different people and they both said that they know that 1 in 10 get seized by customs, so they openly admit that they know some items will not get through but they send them anyways to make a quick buck with all the liability on the customer. They told me they could try and send them again, but isn't that conspiring to help me break my own country's laws? They now know that those items are not allowed into Canada, yet they are willing to send them again. It's not right. It's called ethics. They could hire one extra person to research custom laws and maybe help out their customers, but instead they're too cheap and screw over their customers. I will never buy anything from them again, and it's shady business practices like this that give American companies and the American people a bad name. Think about it!!!!!!! Terra Thomsen Subject: Customs from AN By: Anonymous (xxx.xxx.248.2) Date: 09/08/2005 06:00:00 am PST We send thousands of orders a year to international customers. A small percentage do get siezed by customs. As we state on our website, we can't be responsible for refunding or handling shipping on orders siezed by your county's customs dept. As much as we'd like to be able to guarantee these shipments, we have to leave it up to the consumer to evaluate the risk. If your customs service is very strict, you need to make the decision whether or not to purchase. In many cases it's the adult material that is the problem, we'd suggest not ordering that type of material if it will get siezed. In short, we warn you up front, take it up with your government if your customs policies are strict. Cheers, Gene@AN :) Subject: Re: vote by xxx.xxx.61.131 By: Anonymous (xxx.xxx.224.50) In Reply to: Anonymous (xxx.xxx.61.131) (Original Vote) Date: 02/28/2006 08:37:39 pm PST You are ridicule, blaming on America and on AnimeNation because of the canadian customs law.
