Celestron SMA 25mm
For its type it is tops! Uses the full width of the barrel so gives the widest true field for a 1.25 inch size.

Optics:
Works very well with 5 inch SCT of f/10 Nice pinpoint star images, bright views, great contrast.

Eye relief is not quite enough so I must remove my glasses to see the full apparent field of view. There is no eyeguard so stray light can interfere with observing.

Has a large enough lens and relief to be used for afocal photography with a camera bracket. However I use a Digi-T adapter with a 25mm Plossl instead rather than try to align it to the camera - eyepiece bracket.

Celestron SMA 25mm
I used this eyepiece with a 4.5" f/8 Meade reflector. It was far superior to the .965" eps that came with the scope, and in fact was as good as any less expensive Plossl that I tried. It gave me excellent views of the moon and wider clusters with this scope. It is a good choice for anyone on a tight budget who needs to improve over the cheap eps that come with less expensive scopes.
