I thought that the series was very well thought out and delivered to the audience. All in all, it was a very good series and I enjoyed it a lot!

There is no question. "Record of Lodoss War" deserves a 10! Nothing tops this anime masterpiece. It's so nice to know that not all anime is futuristic. I wish I could find more anime like this. I went out and bought the entire series immediately after having seen the beginning of it on the sci-fi channel (unfortunately, the sci-fi channel version was dubbed, but I was lucky enough to find all six videos in subtitled format). Nothing else has ever made me blow $200 more quickly, and I describe myself as something of a miserly man. This series now has the distinction of being the 3rd-most-expensive-thing-I-own. Only my car and suit of armour cost more.

ITS A GOOD STORY, GOOD MUSIC, NICE CHARACTERS, BUT THE DRAMA BETWEEN PARN AND ASHRAM WAS
UNFINISHED, CUASE HE NEVER DEAFTED ASHRAM. BEAUTIFUL MUSIC, I LOVE IT!!!!...

The animation (except Shooting Star) was absolutely wonderful. The best characters were....#1 Karla the Grey Witch (she kicks ass like no other!)
#2 Deedlit (her beauty is divine...little ditzy...her sword and
knives rock...and her powers were awesome)
#3 Pirotess (shes like Deedlit's evil twin.)
#4 Sheiris (good fighter...she replaces Ghim after he dies...)
The love between Deedlit and Parn was cute but a little immature. But I'm glad they could be together. However the passion between Pirotess and Arshram was beyond words. I would have liked to seen the love between the dark couple last. I would have also liked to catch glimpse of Kardis...Marfa..Falis...and Falaris. They play big roles but you never see them.
This is the best Anime there is! 10!!!

Character art is great, music is great, fanatsy/RPG element comes across better than anything else out there, and the characters act like you would expect them to. No other fanatsy animation comes off better. However, some of the animation is reused and there are a lot of slow pans- budget constraints?!
