When called, they were (my opinion) very cavalier, shipped the item again, but to wrong address.

They grudgingly price matched Focus Camera as is their stated policy only after
getting a manager's approval (very Wal-Mart like). Then, the item was mailed in
an oversized box with the eyepiece on one side, with all the sheet foam on the
other. The eyepiece doesn't work quite right mechanically, but I didn't
discover this until several months later. At that point, they said sorry, no
returns or credits. Last time I shop with them.

Focus, by comparison, knows how to pack and has a much quicker price matching scheme. I've never had to exercise their return policy.

The people who previously complained about poor packing and service are either mistaken regarding the company they dealt with, or are an unscruptulous competitor taking pot-shots. I've made several orders with Pocono, especially eyepieces, and they were carefully packed in small boxes. Please keep up the good work !! Your realistic pricing is hitting the gougers where it hurts...

Quality of the telephone support depends on who answers. Most are great, but there is at least one employee who perceives he's doing you a favor by taking your order. The stocking levels are excellent and the pricing same. Like doing business with them but this guy could drive anyone away.

These guys were great to me, Ive orderd form them several times. Knowledable sales staff. They spent 20 minutes on the phone with me, answering all my questions. One time they the delivered a eye-peice to me in 1 day from Pennsylvania to Long Island, man, no thats service,, they get a10

I have had good service with them Glenn or one of his minions makes the star party circuit and they always have the newest stuff from TeleVue when it is out. I bought my CG-11 form them price was middle of three others I shopped. Glenn got me my scope a month earlier than estimated. He also seems genuine about making sure you get what you are looking for.

My second order went with Pocono went better than my first. Everything was well packed and arrived quickly. The technical person there seems a bit brusk and in a hurry to get off the phone with you when answering questions. He isn't much freindlier than the guys in New York City (only a few hundred miles away). The technical guy at Orion is far friendlier and more helpful.
