Definitely one of the best, if not the best, japanese animated cartoons I have ever seen. It is a really powerful and moving manga that fills the watcher with emotion. I got goose bumbs when Kenshin was fighting Saito and he was turning into "Batusai el destajador." Sanusoke is also an awesome character and I find his determination (when he was learning that punch move from the monk) to be really inspiring. Along with all the drama and suspense it certainly has its share of comic relief with the sexy Kouru and the other girls.

I have only read the manga which
is......well, pretty good.It doesn´t
quite break out of the typical "one fight
after another" style so beloved of early teens...
but it certainly has more to offer than the
likes of "Dragonball"....and it
has some superb moments.....

Samurai X la esta votando aca en Panama. Pero para mi Sanozuke es tan solido como Kenshin. Ah! y tambien tiene una buena drama. La valentia y testarudez de Sanozuke son admirable.

Kenshin is the man! He and Zanza are cool! ((did I spell that right, i'm not to good with names)) First off, Kenshin is too nice of a guy, but he knows when to kick ass, and Zanza makes Cloud Strife look like Papa Smirf! I especially loved when Kenshin smack the shit out of that guy who interupted his speech and left him dangling fromt the ceiling. Kenshin is absolutely one of the best animes out there next to Rayearth ((Umi should take lessons from Kenshin)) and Fushigi Yuugi.

Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X)
This is one of my favorite anime series ever. Even with a tight budget, the end product is incredible. this is because of the strong writing and detailed and developed charachters. Kenshin and his friends are presented with alot of humanity. Even the villians are great because they are not portrayed as one dimensional evil archtypes but as justifiably angry people who have no longer have a place in the world they live in. This series is also an interesting period piece that portrays a Japan in the 1870's that many people are not familiar with. My only problem with this series is that sometimes it does drag on with all of the filler stories and repeated flashbacks but if the directing was tweaked a little, the series would run a little more smoothly.

I gave the rating an eight because it had good humor and a great storyline. The character are well rounded and they never exceed each other in the story.
Meaning- They don't introduce a character once and just leave them out for the remainder of the anime. This doesn't mean that the smallest character will be seen thoughout the anime, but the more significant characters are all created equal.
The animation had a good quality to it. Good cinematics and no repetitious parts either ex. (robotech).
It has a combination of comedy, sad parts, and some uplifting, and especially the parts when you say "kick his @$$, Kenshin."

This anime has everything. It's funny, intense, sad, good story line, etc.
I rated it with a 9 because Kenshin the main character of this anime is not a samurai, at least he can not be one because he does not descend from a samurai family. Big mistake for the people at SONY how translated the name of this anime

This is really good stuff. Fignt scenes are awsome, characters develop well, and it's really funny at times but serious at others. All good animes have these qualities to them. I have only seen about 8 episodes but I really like this. The only thing I don't like is the female voice of Kenshin.

Just wanted to add an observation. Alot of the filler stories seemed to done in a Scooby-doo format. You know what I mean. There's a mystery, the gang gets together, they solve the mystery and the bad guys are taken away by the police in the end.
