I find them to be friendly and helpful. I recommended them to a friend who has NO experience in astronomy and she found them extremely helpful. I've gotten a lot of stuff from them and have had no problems.

I ordered a Telrad and other stuff for about $70. Shipping was over $6 and via UPS. I pointed out to them that the package (1lb 6oz) could be shipped Priority Mail for $3.95 and in two days. They told me that they calculate shipping based on ordered price and there was nothing they could do about it.

Additionally, the Telrad Dew Shield Plus which I ordered stated in their web site that it allowed Right Angle viewing. That's not what it said in the package insert. It allows angled viewing.

Will think twice before getting anything from them again. Hope they enjoyed my extra $ they hit me for the shipping, because it will be a while before they see and more from me.

I have had mostly good experiences with them. The items I have ordered 2/3 have arrived ontime. The last item was delayed by months after my order, and only sent after I contacted them on it. ( The item was actually in their store but was somehow overlooked. They are most often patient and courteous on the phone, and will mostly guide you in the right direction. Some DO NOTS with them is to play them against the other dealers for best price- they can get downright indignant. Also, it is my impression that this store currently suffers from being too big; when their phones aren't too busy you get all the attention in the world, but when they are busy customer service goes down south. Also not the most knowledgeable dealers, but for the most part well intentioned.

I recently purchased a Losmandy GM8 mount from Astronomics. The price was competitive. They said they would ship the same day as the order and they did it. It took 3 days to receive the mount. They were also willing to deal a bit on a scope that was abundant in their inventory. Mike appeared to be candid and was great to deal with. I really like their website. It is extremely informative. I would purchase from them again.

Personal service on the phone. The only major dealer I could find in September with an LX90 in stock. Quick delivery - 5 days. Arrived in perfect condition.

I've ordered accessories from them several times. They have a good inventory and a good wesite. Fair pricing. Products arrive quickly. I've never had to deal with a product defect or their tech assist so no comment on that.

They are in Oklahoma, I am in Louisiana, so shipments are usually fast. They have a wide range of products, they are very helpful and their prices are very competitive. I had to return a product for exchange on one occasion and there was no problem at all. They deserve for me to check with them first about availability of a product. They are a 10 in my book.

I bought a scope from them last year christmas as a gift. I'm not the astronomer in the family so after reading good comments about Astronomics helpfullness I called them. They didn't tell me one single thing I didn't know. They sold me a mounting head that they would not take back and that was not needed. They told me more than once that the items had been shipped, however when I received the packages I saw that they were shipped at least 10 days after their "claim". It was only thanks to the grace of a postal delivery lady that knows my family personally that it was delivered last year on christmas day which was also a sunday. Lastly, they charged far too much for shipping and would not ship by any other method than UPS, but upon receipt it was actually USPS!! So, I don't regard Astronomics very highly and would never recommend them.

I have been buying stuff the last year from many on-line vendors. This vendor is one of the top 2 (the other is Orion's site). They contact me personally if any question about order, they ship promptly, they have a very good web site and product selection...

I purchased numerous equipment from Astronomics over the years. Most recently, a Tak FSQ106, G-11 and SBIG ST10. As always, they are helpful and friendly. Moreover, they always return email and phone call!!
