Sacramento Valley Astronomical Society

I am not a member of the club, but I have visited with them and attended two of their star parties. I can attest to the knowlege, sincerity, and genuine interest of the members and board of the SVAS. They very active in bringing amateur astronomy to public and welcome all interested individuals to their meetings. They have an observatory in the Sierra Nevadas and the hard-core members of the club appear to sport quite an aresenal of fine equipement, themselves. The bottom line is this is an active, healthy organization dedicated to enjoying and learning about the night sky, and sharing that passion with the local community
