George was nice and great to work with. He gave me a fair price. The scope shipped much faster that he first estimated.

Had a problem with contents of accessories, Meade's fault, which George promptly fixed to my satisfaction.

He answered (my many) emails promptly.

I highly recommend Science and Hobby.

I WAS SHOPPING FOR A CELESTRON FIRSTSCOPE 80EQ IN OCT. I ALSO WANTED TO GET THE CELESTRON $99 EYEPIECE AND FILTER SPECIAL. EVERY SITE I WENT TO EITHER WANTED $299+, DIDN'T HAVE IT IN STOCK, OR WEREN'T OFFERING THE SPECIAL. I FOUND SCIENCE AND HOBBY THROUGH AN EBAY LISTING. I CALLED AND SPOKE TO GEORGE LATE THUR PM. HE SAID IT WAS IN STOCK AND IT WAS $219+$24 SHIPPING. I ORDERED IT AND THE SPECIAL(WHICH WILL BE COMING SOON). HE SAID HE WOULD SHIP IT OUT RIGHT AWAY. I GOT IT ON THE FOLLOWING TUE PM. AFTER HAVING THE TELESCOPE FOR OVER A WEEK I NOTICED THE SUPPLIED DIAGONAL MIRROR IS NOT ALIGNED PROPERLY. I CALLED GEORGE AND HE TOLD ME TO CALL CELESTRON. CELESTRON SAID I HAD TO SEND THE DIAGONAL TO THEM AT MY EXPENSE SO THEY CAN INSPECT IT(WHICH MEANS I CAN'T USE MY SCOPE FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG). I CALLED GEORGE BACK WITH THE BAD NEWS AND HE FOUND A MEADE DIAGONAL THAT HE HAD LAYING AROUND. HE SAID HE WOULD SEND IT TO ME. I OFFERED TO PAY FOR IT AND THE SHIPPING, BUT HE SAID NO. I DON'T KNOW OF ANY ONE ELSE THAT WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING. I RECEIVED THE DIAGONAL THE NEXT DAY. ANYTHING I NEED AND SCIENCE AND HOBBY HAS, I WILL BE GETTING IT FROM THEM. I CANNOT RECCOMMEND ANY PLACE I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH ANY HIGHER. IF I COULD RATE THEM AND GEORGE ANY HIGHER THAN 10 I WOULD. THANK-YOU GEORGE. 12/18/02 THIS IS AN ADDENDUM TO THE ABOVE PURCHASE. I ALSO HAVE PURCHASED A MEADE LXD55 AR-5 FROM GEORGE-RECEIVED IT ON 12/10/02 FROM A NEW SHIPMENT HE GOT ON 12/06/02. HE ALSO SENT MY $99 CELESTRON EYEPIECE DEAL AT THE SAME TIME. I recently ordered an 8" LX200 from them at a time when others in the area (Northeast) did not have them in stock. Though pricing was standard, they charged what seemed to be actual UPS shipping. They have been just as fair and prompt when I ordered accessories from them.
