I've been using it to great satisfaction for the past six months. Amplifier
far exceeds my needs and the s-video inputs and output are wonderful. The Dolby
Digital is Active and Agressive while the Dolby Pro-Logic tends to be quiet.

Very good features - AC-3, a very versatile receiver, good remote.
Drawbacks - at 0db reference after about 20-30 minutes the thermal
protect circuit kills the audio. Backing off on the volume to -8db
corrects the problem

Awesome sound for both music and video.
I was concerned about the surround channels only having 60 watss vs. the front 3 channels having 110 each. But I could never use all of the power this recieiver has.

Cons:
* No phono input
* Marantz falsely claims 4 audio inputs, however the unit only has 3 audio inputs like their other models
* Very hissy coax and optical inputs due to crappy D/A circuitry
* No tape loop (tape monitor)
* No send/receive to support external EQ
