Entry: Astronomy:Equipment Reviews:Binocular Reviews:Swarovski EL 10x42 I have owned these 8.5x Els for about a week. I tried and compared several high end bino's before deciding on these. They were about $300 more than the rest of the bino's I was comparing to. With the new Swarobrite coatings I truely believe these bino's have set a new standard with optics and ergonomics. The wheel might be slow but if you use them for astronomy they are perfect. Of coarse for birding the Els are the best hands down. Well worth the $1250 I paid for these bino's . The best 42mm bino on the market today....purchase the best and you will forget the rest...
Overall Rating: 10 Entry: Astronomy:Equipment Reviews:Binocular Reviews:Takahashi Fluorite APO 22x60 Outstanding bino's. I love Taks so much I sold my Miyauchi's and Canon 15x50IS bino's. The optics are superior to anything in the same class. 2 60mm FS60's. I wish Tak would come out with a 78mm pair...
Overall Rating: 10 Entry: Astronomy:Equipment Reviews:Telescope Reviews:Takahashi Mewlon 210 I have had the Mewlon for about 3 weeks now. The more I use it the more I realize it is not only a superb planetary and lunar scope but also an excellent deepsky scope. Fit and finish are classic Takahashi (Superb) The built in finder which couples as a handle is very nice. The scope is very light for its size and well managed on my EM-2S mount. I sold my C9.25 and purchased the Mewlon. Contrast on the Mewlon is incredible bringing out detail the C9.25 just couldn't. My only regret is that maybe I should have purchased the Mewlon 250. The Mewlon is definately one of Takahashi's best kept secrets..
