Entry: Astronomy:Equipment Reviews:Eyepiece Reviews:TeleVue Nagler Type 6 9mm

When it comes to sharp 82 degree FOVs the Naglers are in a class by themselves. I already had a 13mm T6 and added the 9mm to plug a magnification hole in my set. They are small, light, and a pleasure to view with.

Entry: Astronomy:Equipment Reviews:Telescope Reviews:Orion ED 100mm OTA

I recently purchased a pre-owned Skywatcher version of this telescope for a very good price. It came with a GSO two speed crayford focuser. This telescope is very light and is easily managed on an Orion EQ3 mount. Collimation of the optics for my sample is right on and the in and out focus star tests are a very close match. First light provided a great view of Jupiter even with a 3mm Radian (300x). Bottom line, I could not be more impressed with the level of performance of this telescope, especially at less than half of the list price. Since the EONs have been introduced I have seen more of these on the secondary market. If you would like a light, semi-portable high-quality refractor at a great price I suggest you give this one a try.

Entry: Astronomy:Equipment Reviews:Misc Accessories:Rigel QuickFinder

I had to weigh in considering the diverse opinion about this 1x finder on this site. All I can say is that it is everything I need in this type of finder with the pulse feature an extra bonus. As its name implies you will find objects quickly or get to an area quickly. Set up is a breeze and the learning curve should be fast for most users. It is a fine product and a great value. I am not sure why its detractors are having so many problems, but I can say this is the most commonly used finder for even advanced users in my club.

One of my favorite eyepieces. Images appear to be brighter than through others of similar focal length and views are very sharp. It is also light weight. My only concern are the blackouts due to the long eye relief. This may be a problem for some users but can be overcome with practice in positioning your eye.

Entry: Astronomy:Equipment Reviews:Barlows:TeleVue Powermate 2.5X

I concur with all that has been said thus far. I will add, however, that this is not just a barlow as there are some technical differences. I experienced vignetting with all focal length televue plossls with both my Ultima and 2.8x Klee barlows. The powermate was suggested to remedy this situation and it worked perfectly. A very special piece of equipment.
