UPDATE: My vote may have been too generous. The rings are listed by interior diameter - if you are trying to mount a 6" telescope, the rings may have difficulty fitting the tube if it is larger than 6", which is not uncommon since many mirrors are held in place by frames and the tube has to hold the frame. So the 6" rings will not close for locking on my Criterion RV-6 6" Newtonian and are currently held in place by C-clamps. On top of this my attempt to contact Orion support by email just bounced - their "point and click" addy is invalid or otherwise unconnected. I have also just discovered that the extension handle for the fine adjustment cannot rotate 360 degrees if mounted on the front; the metal screw locking it in place is too long and hits the mount as it rotates. You can, however, mount it to the rear position, which is slightly less convenient. Other folks thinking of using this mount and needing rings might want to check out other sources. One recommended to me is "Ken's Rings and Accessories," http://users.kricket.net/ken/rings.htm
