I felt like my head was constantly moving in and out and back and forth to find the view. A no-contest when compared to the TeleVue 55mm. Even the Panoptic 35mm with a reducer displays superior images. A giant kidney-bean is obvious no matter wher you place your eye, and it's very off-putting! Aberration is also a severe problem with my sample, no matter which scope I've tried it in. My recommendation is to buy the wonderful Panoptic 35mm, and be satisfied with the (only slightly) narrower field of view. There's no comparison! View of mercury/venus/moon showed slight aberation of color. Stars are sharp to the edge. Contrast is excellent. Eye relief is very poor, infact I would say the experience is similar to looking through a straw. I paid about $95.00 for the ep. Advice: I would save some $$ and buy the 3000 series if you want the high power Meade Plossl.
