I used it on my Meade 8 inch LX-10 while veiwing saturn with excellent detail and color correction.For the price of $70.00 you have a real winner. Black out horrible and most anoying...great FOV, not as sharp as an good Plössl. It is cheap but i would not recommended. A Vixen LV would be a far bether choice Subject: Orion Epic 5.1 By: Anonymous (xxx.xxx.255.145) Date: 03/02/2006 03:31:36 pm PST I bought this ep a few days after we bought our scope (Orion XT8i) and I was looking forward to seeing some better views of Saturn and so on. Didn't work that way. Everything we looked at through this eyepiece looked 'fuzzy', slightly out of focus. I gave it a few weeks and used it in varying conditions, but it was never any better than so-so. I took it back, and came out of the store with a Pentax XW5.
