It has a flat field, wonderful contrast, perfect eye relief, and is not very heavy compared to others. >I have used it in an 8' f10 Celestron and a 94mm Brandon f7 refractor. In the 8", the Perseus double cluster is pinpoint sharp over the entire cluster. This spans a little over a 60 arc minute field. The field of view in the C8 with this eyepiece is 72 arc minutes. So, only the last 12 minutes start to distort. >There is no problem with blackout, like there is in the 31mm Nagler. The Nagler is better edge corrected, but the Edmund is sharper over most of the field. The only problem with this eyepiece is that it does not barlow well with a 2" barlow, because of excessive eye relief. The other negative is that it is not threaded for 2" filters. Page 1 of 1 |
