When I purshased the eyepiece , I tested it in the store. It was great! However when I went to use it at home I took it out of the box it came in and put it in my scope. At 24mm it was crisp. I then took it out and put in another eyepiece for comparison. When I went to install it again to test it at a higher power I felt something move inside the piece. I took it inside and it apears that some of the lens have come loose inside. I am sending it back for replacement and hope to review it again soon. I did like the piece when it was together. I will write as soon as I recieve the replacement. Has this happened to anyone else?

I've used the Vixen Zoom for years and love it. In fact, it stays on my 10", LX200GPS.
IMPORTANT:
When this EP is held in the fist and shaken end to end, you will hear something shifting inside. This is normal and all the Vixen Zooms do this -- not to sweat!

A great all rounder for the money. I use this EP constantly. Great for travel. Sharp images and even barlows well. FOV rather narrow at longer focal lengths so no good for hunting down faint deep sky stuff! But good on PN's when you need to turn up the magification when you suspect your out of focus star. Also great to open up globular clusters, one twist and it shatters like glass. I only paid £120 sterling for mine, how bad is that? 9 out of 10 from me.
