Subject: Nikon 16X70 & 10X70 By: Anonymous (xxx.xxx.62.168) Date: 07/07/2005 12:17:45 am PST I have had the good fortune of being able to compare both of these binoculars, and can say that the 16X70's are far superior due to wider apparent field (better eyepiece optics) and less wasted light due to the smaller exit pupil. Do yourself a favor and do not bother buying the 10X70's if your eyes do not open up to a full 7mm. They're simply not worth it. I have taken the time comparing both, and the 16X70's are far superior, even for daytime/terrestrial viewing. Hand holding is possible, though difficult. Page 1 of 1 |
