I'd love to get a pair of these binoculars the only problem is their price, but it's worth havin'em if you can afford paying twice the cost of good ones from another company ? Damned, in this world only rich people can get the best, this is ......pfffff Subject: Re: zeiss 15x60 BG T By: Anonymous (xxx.xxx.64.11) In Reply to: Anonymous (xxx.xxx.48.115) (Original Message) Date: 03/28/2004 01:42:08 pm PST >Can someone explains how a simple 15 x 60 with an exit pupil of 4mm looks brighter and way sharper than a 20x80 or 16x70 of another brand ? >I'd love to get a pair of these binoculars the only problem is their price, but it's worth havin'em if you can afford paying twice the cost of >good ones from another company ? >Damned, in this world only rich people can get the best, this is ......pfffff Hi, I bought a used pair of Zeiss 15x60's a couple of years ago, yes they are worth the extra over most other brands (well I would say that now!). They are a bit heavy, but the optical quality is second to none, which is the reason for the brighter and sharper image you noticed. Apparantly they were used by the West German border guards pre-unification. Unfortunatly, as you have noticed, there are no shortcuts price wise with quality optics, you get very much what you pay for, particularly in this field.
