This is not the case with a stellarvue, but you get what you pay for and for the price of $399 it's worth finnishing. Have always wanted a 4 inch refractor and can remember when a similar model to this went for 1800. Images are tack sharp. Scope is lightweight and easily transported in one piece. Great scope.
